Too Faced Chocolate Bar Review and Look Details

Happy Makeup Monday Dolls!

I know I’m a little late on the band wagon for the Too Faced Cosmetics Chocolate Bar Palettes, but I’ve been hearing so many raves about this product, I had to give in and purchase it!

First take: The palette smells yummy and you get a really good amount of product for $49! As soon as you open the box, you are welcomed with a soft sweet chocolaty smell and a palette shaped and coated just like an actual candy bar! I chose to get the original Chocolate Bar over the newer Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar because when I tried the colors out at the store, I was attracted to the browns, mauves, burgundies and rich warm color tones of this palette more. All in all this palette has 16 scrumptious shades to play with that work well for a nice neutral eye or with a pop of color as it includes a deep green, royal purple and delicious gold shades as well. The look and feel of the palette is sturdy and soft. The colors come in different textures from mattes, to satiny shimmers and metallic and the color and quality of each shade is moderately pigmented!

I really enjoyed playing with this palette right out of the box because one, it’s so enticing, you just have to test it the moment you open it, and two it has so many rich complimentary shades that can be worn on any skin type, that you just can’t help but try it out right away! I really like this palette for soft and natural everyday looks. Although it has a range of colors, they go on very soft and can easily be used for day and night transitional looks. This palette also works great for soft work-ready makeup looks at the office! 😉

The colors I used to create my Chocolate Latte look are:                                             Salted Caramel, Semi Sweet, Milk Chocolate, Cherry Cordial, white chocolate, and Marizpan. I know I went a little crazy with my selection but I blended the colors together nicely for a soft look with a hint of shimmer.
